The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is a professional accountancy body working across the globe with over 130,000 members in more than 100 countries. Its members are represented at every level of the finance and accounting world, including students, people already working in accountancy and self-employed business owners. We worked with AAT to build its member-facing activities and events for its public sector members.
ACCA is a globally recognised professional accountancy body providing qualifications and advancing standards in accountancy worldwide. It has widened access to the accountancy profession, and long championed inclusion. Today, it supports a diverse community of over 252,500 members and 526,000 future members in 180 countries.
We worked with ACCA (on a joint project with IFAC) to develop a Global Guide for Professionalisation in Public Sector Finance and more recently we carried out research on the extent of global PFM reforms.
CAPA is a regional organisation representing 30 professional accountancy organisations (PAOs) that operate in, or have an interest in, the Asia-Pacific region. CAPA’s activities focus on both the public and private sectors, and on the accountancy profession, particularly development of PAOs. It provides the platform to facilitate relationship building and knowledge sharing amongst its member PAOs. We worked with CAPA to develop guidance for PAOs extending their activities into the public sector and helped to deliver two webinars. We also worked with CAPA on a number of key strategic projects through a longer contract.
CIPFA is the only professional accountancy body in the world exclusively dedicated to public finance. As well as providing a unique professional accountancy qualification, globally it is a leading voice for sound public financial management and good governance in the public sector. It champions high performance in public services through a range of world class services. We worked with CIPFA on its local audit CIPFA Audit Training Employer (CATE) Review.
Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. It provides practical support to help people access benefits, healthcare services, employment opportunities, and more. Crisis also works to address the root causes that push people into homelessness through conducting of research to understand the scale, causes and consequences of homelessness and campaigning on the political changes needed to end homelessness. Our work with Crisis includes delivering Mental Health First Aid® training to senior volunteers who help to deliver the Crisis Christmas project. DAI Human Dynamics works on the frontlines of global development. It tackles fundamental social and economic development problems caused by inefficient markets, ineffective governance, and instability. DAI works with a wide range of clients, including national and local governments. Our work with DAI Human Dynamics on implementing EU practices on Accounting, Financial Reporting and Audit in Ukraine continues.
ICAEW is a world-leading professional body established under a Royal Charter to serve the public interest. In pursuit of its vision of a world of strong economies, ICAEW works with governments, regulators and businesses and it leads, connects, supports and regulates chartered accountant members in over 149 countries. ICAEW members work in all types of private and public organisations, and are trained to provide clarity and rigour and apply the highest professional, technical and ethical standards. We are currently working with ICAEW's Audit and Assurance Faculty to update and develop technical guidance for reporting accountants and with its International Capacity Building Team on developing guidance as part of its capacity building work.
IFAC is the global voice for the accountancy profession, serving the public interest by enhancing the relevance, reputation, and value of the global accountancy profession and through advocacy, development, and support for its member organisations and more than 3 million accountants who are crucial to the global economy. We worked with IFAC (on a joint project with ACCA) to develop a Global Guide for Professionalisation in Public Sector Finance. Sumita has also worked with IFAC via previous roles with CAPA and ICAEW, in particular she has written public sector articles and participated on a panel discussion on Connecting the Accountancy Ecosystem & the Path of Accountancy Technicians.
Mediation MK was previously a Charity operating from Milton Keynes. Its primary role was to provide a range of mediation services to adults in the Milton Keynes and Northampton areas. It also provided mediation training and family therapy. We previously collaborated with Mediation MK to provide civil and commercial and workplace mediation.

Public Finance by Women is a dynamic network for women supporting an exchange of ideas and good practices in gender equality in public finances. It empowers women by helping them to develop their careers through mentoring and coaching, addressing gender inequality through thought leadership, research and providing independent peer support and advice for women seeking careers in public finance. Sumita is a member of PFW's International Advisory Group and a mentor on PFW's Global Mentoring Programme.
